The Colours of Life

An annual poetry festival organised by The Second Circle, a sister group of the Bahrain Writers’ Circle. Colours of Life 2018 was presented on October 27, 2018, at the British School, Bahrain, in Hamala. It featured fifteen poets from eight countries, and is perhaps the only bilingual (Arabic and English) poetry presentation in Bahrain.

Rashid Khalifa - Penumbra: Textured Shadow, Coloured Light, at the Saatchi Gallery, London

Bringing together new three-dimensional works by artist Rashid Khalifa. His London debut invites the viewer to experience the beauty of textured shadows and light cast through polychromatic metal structures. From 3 to 21 October 2018 at the Saatchi Gallery, London.

Confluence – Where Words and Images Meet

A unique melding of words and art is the subject of the Bahrain Writers’ Circle’s (BWC) first exhibition Confluence – Where Words and Images Meet, which ran from 16 to 20 September, 2018 at Harbour Gate, Bahrain Financial Harbour.

CARAVAN's peacebuilding exhibition at Sotheby's

Featuring the work of 14 Bahrain artists, inspired by Kahhil Gibran: A Guide for Our Times, CARAVAN's peacebuilding exhibition at Sotheby's in London, ran from the 6 to 10 August 2018. Bahrain Arts Magazine was there to view their work.
